UserTesting Emails
I came to UserTesting as an Email Development Operations Analyst and left as a Manager — and the email infrastructure work I did there is a through-line across all three roles. When UserTesting went through a brand refresh, I led the technical translation of the new brand into their email production environment. That meant rebuilding their Marketo email template system from scratch: fully editable, drag-and-drop modules that non-technical marketers could work with independently, without needing a developer for every send. I also rebuilt the Marketo email preference center with the new visual identity, improving the end-user experience for UserTesting's own customers. The system was later extended into their Klaviyo instance to maintain a consistent brand experience across both platforms. Beyond the template work, I documented email operations practices in Confluence — codifying what we'd built and making onboarding faster. As my role grew from Analyst to Senior Program Manager and then Manager, I took on ownership of the full Marketo platform, led a team of email specialists, and introduced sprint-based workflow management. The Revenue Operations team recognized that work with a Hero Award, which was a nice thing to receive.
